What is BMR?

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the number of calories your body needs at rest to maintain vital functions such as breathing and circulation. In our calculator, BMR is calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula, which takes into account your weight, height, age, and gender.

What are Maintenance Calories?

Maintenance calories represent the number of calories you need to consume in a day to maintain your current weight when leading a sedentary lifestyle. Therefore its important to note, that if you have a active lifestyle, the number will be much higher.

What is 1 Rep Max (1RM)?

1 Rep Max is the maximum amount of weight you can lift for one repetition of a given exercise. Our calculator uses the Epley formula to estimate your 1RM based on the weight lifted and the number of repetitions you performed for any given exercise.

How is Pace Calculated?

The pace calculator estimates your running pace in various units (minutes per mile, minutes per kilometer, speeds in mph and km/h, etc.) and predicts race times for popular distances using Riegel's formula. You simply enter your time for a given distance, and the calculator does the rest.
